In which we celebrate the Beauties of Vivian in her Bikinis.

But before we get to the pictures, just a word about OBV in a Bikini - Gorgeous!

While getting these VivPix together I had a few thoughts about OBV's career and Bikinis - Like this - Unlike, many young female entertainers who started out modeling in bikinis Vivian wasn?t seen in a bikini until she had been in the business for about 3 years. While she was in the girl group Shao Nu Dui the girls were photographed only in ordinary street clothes and cute costumes with nothing more revealing than a pair of shorts. No bikinis, no swimwear at all.

Vivian's revealing debuted was in her first full length movie, Shao Lin Poppy, shot in the fall of 1993 in which she appeared briefly in a ballet workout costume and then a fetching white ensemble which didn't advance the plot line but Vivian sure LO.Oked GO.Od!

Following are some of Vivian's first bikini photos taken in the fall of 1994 by Chen Wen Ping for her debut in Japan.

Thanks for that tour through Vivian's gradual image change from "girl next door" to sexy young woman.

I guess those Aussie pics were probably taken on Bondi Beach in Sydney.

I don't think I've seen that third one before!

And thanks for the local geography lesson.

BTW - Did you ever hear Vivian's story about walking by an Australian beach in her bikini and encountering dog doodoo? OBV was very funny when she told it on TV - maybe you know it - I recounted it here on CV quite a while ago. If anyone's interested I'll tell it again.

Do, Keiji, do please... I 'd like to hear it again, because it didn't strike me the first time. I can remember seeing a few pix on a beach with a dog, but what do you mean by "dog doodoo"? (probably idiotic question from a non-english-speaker)...

Your description rings a bell, but beyond that I can't recall.

Wil, "dog doodoo" is pleaant sounding euphemism for dog's excrement... Not an unusual site on many Aussie beaches, I'm afraid!

How about in France, Wil? Or in Japan, Keiji?

OK, settle down everybody. Gather round and I'll tell the story of Vivian and the Dog Doodoo in which Our Beloved Vivian, clad only in a simple bikini, encounters the whistles of admiring guys and dog doodoo on the beaches of Australia.

Once upon a time, Our Beloved Vivian was on a Saturday afternoon women?s interview show on Japanese TV probably in the year 2000. She had just come back from Australia where she had shot a CM for Match, the lemon sports drink. Vivian looked, great not a bit tired - as I recall her hair was frizzed and partly tied back, she wore a white smocky blouse and tight blue jeans with rips at the knees and frayed cuffs and high heeled shoes.

When the interviewer asked about Vivian?s trip to Australia and the first thing Vivian described was how she had walked along the beach in her bikini ? and here she smiled and gestured with her open hands across her chest and wiggled a bit to emphasis that it was a rather small bikini ? and then she said, some guys on the beach saw her and whistled loudly at her ? and here Vivian whistled like guys do, gave a big smile, rolled her eyes and wiggled again with pleasure in her chair ? she obviously took great delight in this (well deserved) attention!

And then Vivian went on to talk about all the dog doodoo she saw along the beach walk ? Vivian called it ?unchi? in Japanese - It was everywhere she said and she had to walk very carefully ? and to demonstrate this she jumped out of her chair and did a mincing tiptoe kind of dance as she stepped between one piece of imaginary doodoo and the next ? It was so funny and so typically Vivian !! The women on the show laughed hysterically at Vivian's animated story ? (they also must have been really shocked because in Japan dog walkers are required the scoop up after their dogs.)

I think this a testament to Vivian?s outlook and sense of humour that she could get both looking sexy in a bikini and dog doodoo into one interview and keep it cute and funny!

Yes, Keiji, yes... this was the picture I thought about. Interestlingly, I live very close to one of the ugliest place I know in the world regarding Dod doodoo! This is Lyon in France, which pavements are really paved with landmines by our "four-legged best friends". I am really shocked, because coming from Alsace close to the Swiss border, we have a very high sense of cleanness and civic values: don't throw papers or plastic bags away, keep your dogs well behaving, don't let your kids cry or yell in the public places... But here in Lyon, Vivian would surely need to dance on her tiptoes. Happily enough, I am not living in downtown Lyon, but some 30 kms away in a village, I might say a clean and orderly popular area with poor people who know how to behave and middle classes that try to raise their children the right and orderly way... Vivian would probaly be happy in our village, it would be a nice place for a nice girl like OBV, I's say...

Good to see these lovely pictures again, with our young girlie Vivian! Hawaii is a place most liked by Japanese or other Asian people. Vivian seems to have been there several times, and even latest in April or March of this year (before or after surgery and healing).

Vivian loves the water and she's been a keen swimmer since she was a child.
In her travels she has visited many pools and beaches ... in her bkinis, of course!

Thank you so much Keiji, for opening and completing your Vivian's Bikini Central thread on our Collecting Vivian Forum.

It should never get lost - so I've made a backup of the whole page with all the pictures on my computer. It's a rather old PC, almost eight years but still good enough to handle all my Internet activities and particularly in respect to "Vivian" topic. I've given a very special name to this good old machine - have a guess ...
